Storytelling is an effective tool towards imparting knowledge and driving behavior, more so when it is backed by evidence. When presenters utilize this tool to engage their audiences, they are better positioned to meet their stakeholders where they are. Since 2021, Globe Telecom has partnered with OI to facilitate practicable Data Storytelling Workshops, an engagement that has blossomed into a continuous partnership with Globe University.

Objective-Aligned / Insight-Aware  

Data-driven presentations through a storytelling approach not only engage audiences, but also provide necessary information for decision-making across all levels of work. Key insights drive data storytelling, from principles of effective data visualization towards story-telling, to identifying key points and trends within data sets. Working from within a Data-Visual-Narrative framework, OI developed a program that balances the importance of each valuable aspect of data storytelling.

Outcome-Oriented / Informed by Evidence  

General principles informed the broad strokes of workshop design, but it was as important to take into account the specific needs of the target audience. Given that each participant group varied in scope and skill, OI made sure to calibrate the content of each run to assure targeted learning. From refreshing proficiency in understanding and interpreting data and creating data-driven presentations with value-add insights and high-impact recommendations, to developing the ability to translate complex data analyses into actionable recommendations, the workshops ensured that the modules were easy to understand but also easy to apply.
